Four Mile Path- Every day I walked the same four mile path. After the gym was closed in late March due to COVID, I started walking. Fearing that I would not sleep well at night, I had to make sure to exercise everyday. Being unemployed and suddenly inside my apartment more than ever. This walk has been my consistent in the pandemic. I walk the same path everyday because I don’t have to think about it. I don’t have to come up with a new route everyday, I know this one is exactly four miles. Today I started a series of layered images. The ghostly photos represent the repeated miles, the over and over again. It shows the dizziness of the ignored city landscape. It’s my isolated response to staying on the path, but being completely somewhere else. Kind of like falling into the abyss. Chicag0, Illinois 8-24-20
